Tobacco, Alcohol and Drugs
Students will have the learning experience of understanding the short and long term effects of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs. Going more indepth, they will learn about the main substances in tobacco, the different types of tobacco as well. Students will understand the different types of drugs such as depressants, stimulants, hallucinogens and narcotics. What is the difference between drugs and medicines will be at topic discussed as well.
Communicable and Noncommunicable DiseasesCommunicable diseases such as influenza, mononucleosis, hepatitis, common cold as well as some std's. Noncommunicable diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma are the types of diseases that will be discussed.

NurtitionThe major food groups, 6 essential nutrients, reading food labels, food guide pyramid will make up the basis of this lesson.

Body SystemsThe body systems that will be discussed are the respiratory system, digestive system, excretory system, immune system, endocrine system, skeletal and muscular system, reproductive system.
